Bonded pairs are bonded partners. “Proven” pairs have breeding history, which will be provided.
Parrotlets may be picked up from Redbank Plains QLD, or flown to most airports for $150 (single parrotlet) or $205 (pair of parrotlets).
Regarding breeding history: we do not encourage breeding by providing a nest box until the male is 18 months and the female is 12 months old. Rarely, the pair will breed earlier, so a nest box will be introduced ONLY if the female has laid eggs repeatedly.
Please note that regardless of whether these birds were hand or parent raised, they have not been regularly handled and may not wish to be handled.
Our parrotlets have been raised indoors, and were selectively bred for size, colour and temperament. Our thorough record-keeping allows us to provide a prediction of estimated progeny, however we cannot guarantee results will be exactly as predicted, due to potential hidden splits.
To give the best possible results, all pairs are unrelated, in line with our policy of never pairing birds that are related by less than five generations.
For extra peace of mind, we offer an optional avian veterinary certificate that include a qualified avian veterinarian examination of your parrotlet that is a signed confirmation of: body condition, body health and a microscopic faecal examination to exclude parasitic/fungal infections. Please ask us if interested.
